For the Love of Dogs, LLC is a Wilmington, DE -based full-service group. We love your pets! We have a variety of service options, and for your peace of mind, we are bonded and insured. 

 

Services include:

• Dog Walks 

  • Start at 30 min in length and go as long as you need.

  • Can be daily, weekly, or on an "as needed" basis.

  • Can be broken up into walk and playtime.

  • We show up no matter the weather! Depending on the conditions, the walk may be shorter but we will supplement with playtime, and always ensure they relieve themselves.

  • We don't just walk your dogs; our team works with them to make them better overall pets both on and off leash, and we evaluate their needs on a highly personalized case by case basis.

• Check-Ins For Pets/ Dog Visits (typically 3 visits per day)

  • 45 min-1 hour in length, depending on needs

  • for day trips or extended travel.

  • includes bringing in the paper and mail, watering plants, changing lights and caring for your pet(s)-walks, feedings, TLC and playtime. 

  • visits usually are AM (breakfast), PM (dinner), and LATE PM (bedtime), additionally there can be a 4th visit mid afternoon for puppies, older dogs or any pet that requires the extra TLC .

• Cat Visits ​

  • Start at 15 minutes depending on your need, and can go up to an hour for very social cats. This includes feeding, watering, play time, and litterbox maintenance.

• Ride Alongs (Dogs Only)

  • especially great for puppies who need extra play time and socialization​.

  • your dog rides along with us for the day, goes on play dates, has a nap time and lunch if needed, and is fully tired by the time we bring them home!

  • Available on case-by-case basis only. Not offered by all of our team.

• House Sitting (Overnight Care)

  • where we live at your home with your pets while you travel

    • includes everything that occurs in a visit 

    • main difference is that we are there through the night

    • Overnights include breakfast, dinner, and bedtime walks/visits, and we will be staying with them overnight. Our team may or may not be at your home during the middle of the day, and there will be an additional, but discounted charge if a mid-day visit is required. 

  • In-our-home​​ care is available on some occasions. While we are working towards making that option more available, currently it is only offered as a rare exception by management.

• Dog Training

  • B​ehavioral ​

    • Housebreaking issues, aggression, fear, socialization issues, chewing, and more!​

  • Obedience

    • We teach you dog basic commands and everything they need to be a good dog!​

 

• Baths and Nail Trims​

  • Baths at a local facility for cooperative dogs only.

    • Includes bath, nail trim (if dog allows), drying, and brush out.

    • Nail trims available for pets (cats or dogs) who will cooperate well enough for one person to do the trim.

    • No hair cuts.

Whatever your needs are for your pets and home, we can accommodate:

• We are experienced and comfortable with administering medication from eye drops and pills to insulin injections.

• We aren't just dog friendly! We also work with families with many animals! Got cats? fish? birds? guinea pigs? reptiles? We care for all creatures big and small! We now have horse and large animal specialist team members!

To date, we care for over 250 homes, and a combined total of roughly 280 dogs, 100 cats, 4 horses, 1 tortoise, 6 birds, 2 exotic birds, 25 chickens, and a good amount of fish.
